BP Konektions: Core company competency/Day 20

IntraGroups Discovers Unique Relationship between BP and the Independent
Climate Change Email (ICCE) Review Panel Led by Sir Muir Russell (UK)

Early on July 7 / Day 1 at 5:20am EST, IntraGroups exclusive online technical research capabilities connected-the-dots and found a unique link between BP and the ICCE Review Panel.

Broad Run, VA (PRWEB) July 23, 2010 -- According to the Independent Climate Change E-mails (ICCE) Review published Wednesday July 7, 2010 at 1pm GMT
www.cce-review.org/About.php, a long-term BP employee was the only non-UK academic on the 5 person review panel led by Sir Muir Russell. Reference #1 (ICCE website)

Sir Muir Russell was asked to head the Independent Review into the allegations against the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) www.uea.ac.uk/mac/comm/media/press/2009/dec/CRUreview), according to the University of East Anglia (UAE) on December 3, 2009. Reference #2 (UAE website)

Intragroups has dubbed this unique BP / ICCE most unfortunate connection - "Konektions"

Earlier this year, the BP Vice President of Technology for Deepwater Development – Gulf of Mexico, was selected to be the only non-academic person on a crucial 5-person review panel, under the direction of Chairman Sir Muir Russell, to investigate Climate Gate - the hacking of University of East Anglia emails and associated research data on global temperature trends - according to references #1 and #2.

IntraGroups notes that these emails were “leaked” just prior to the Copenhagen Summit on Climate Change attended by President Obama which threw doubt on over 35 years of scientific research regarding global warming/climate change. Global media have since reported extensively on the UAE situation, dubbed Climate Gate by many.

IntraGroups confirmed the subsequent confusion caused by the emails by speaking with the Reverend Pat Watkins who was in Copenhagen for the climate conference last year. Watkins is founder of Caretakers of God's Creation, a church greening movement within the VA Conference of the UMC (United Methodist Churches).

IntraGroups supports these efforts by helping parishioners to save energy (kWh) within existing buildings / structures.

According to the UAE, UK police are still investigating who originally hacked the emails 9 months after the event. IntraGroups has NOT found any connection between BP and the UAE-related event and does NOT mean to infer ANY connection whatsoever.

According to ICCE, Sir Muir Russell was appointed chairperson of the review panel that began an investigation starting in January of this year and forced the resignation of a number of potential members of the review panel in February 2010. Three of the five members who survived this ethical procedure were professors appointed because of their deep knowledge of UK university processes, funding, research best practices, and their clear independence / clarity of thought concerning sensitive and important information / global temperature data.
